Based on a personal experience of falling in love and parting ways with a heavy smoker, this work is composed of cigarette butts collected throughout the relationship. Together, they form a bathroom rug: an object associated with care, intimacy, and the act of drying off. But instead of comfort and cleanness, this rug overwhelms with the distinct smell and smudges with ash and tobacco, evoking the lingering intensity of love and loss.
